 Chicago-born and LA-based Thespian Darryl Maximilian Robinson ( a Chicago Joseph Jefferson Citation Award Winner for his work with his multiracial chamber theater The Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and an Los Angeles Elate Season Ticket Holder Best Actor Award Nominee) recently released a new video theatre version of Edgar Allan Poe's classic poem 'The Conqueror Worm' In Los Angeles.
As an experienced stage performer, adaptor and director of the works of 19th-century American literary master Edgar Allan Poe, classically-trained thespian Darryl Maximilian Robinson ( the Founder, Artistic Director and Producer of both The Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and The Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project ) has always relished an opportunity to bring the Gothic poet to new audiences. And his prevously released "street theatre"-style video renditions of 'Annabel Lee' at Santa Monica Pier and 'El Dorado' at LA's Bruce Lee Statue in Chinatown reflect this.
Now, Darryl Maximilian Robinson has endeavored to give lovers of the poet's words " A Little Poe In The Park" with his new video offering of 'The Conqueror Worm' presented on the outdoor stage of The Levitt Pavilion in Los Angeles' MacArthur Park.

A recent winner of a 2019 Broadwayworld Chicago Award nomination for Best Performer In A Musical for his critically-praised performance of the dual roles of The Chairman Mr. William Cartwright and Mayor Thomas Sapsea in the 2018 Saint Sebastian Players of Chicago revival of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning Best Musical Whodunit 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood ' as well as numerous other honors during his 48-season-long career in the performing arts, Darryl Maximilian Robinson has spent several years presenting and touring and serving as The Narrator and Host of an evening of the works of Edgar Allan Poe entitled 'The Raven And Six Other Points Of Interest' which was staged at intimate venues in Chicago, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri and Louisville, Kentucky.
His new rendition of Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Conqueror Worm' is currently available online at his You Tube channel for viewing.
