Classical Crossroads’ “Second Sundays at Two” presents Two Consummate Artists and Good Friends Playing Beethoven's Great Masterpiece: The Kreutzer Sonata in a Streamed Concert
Violinist Elizabeth Hedman has been a concerto soloist with numerous orchestras, including The Santa Barbara Symphony, The National Repertory Orchestra, The Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, The Northwest Chamber Orchestra, and The Seattle Youth Symphony. Her education includes Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she won the Concerto Competition and was teaching assistant to Donald Weilerstein. Elizabeth plays regularly with the Los Angeles Opera, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
Pianist Robert Thies's solo recitals are highly regarded by aficionados not only for his consummate musicianship and his sensitive artistic interpretations, but for his illuminating observations about the composers and the selections. Robert has an avid Southern California following. He is returning to the Palos Verdes Peninsula where he grew up for his fifteenth appearance on the Second Sundays At Two series.
