Praised by The New York Times for its “dramatic, energetic playing of clean intensity,” the Tetzlaff Quartet rapidly established a reputation as one of the world's most fascinating chamber ensembles. Discovering a mutual devotion to chamber music Christian and Tanja Tetzlaff, Hanna Weinmeister and Elisabeth Kufferath formed their string quartet in 1994.
