The Pomona College is one of the largest and most prestigious performing organizations on campus, and has a long tradition as an important creative and cultural outlet for music majors and non-majors alike.
Joining the orchestra is guitarist Jack Sanders whose performances have been hailed as “sensitively nuanced” (Los Angeles Times), and with “uncanny ease…melifluently lyrical,” (The Irvine World News). This recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Guitar Society has performed at festivals from Alaska to Hawaii and appeared as a soloist with ensembles including the Chamber Orchestra of Santa Fe, I Cantori, and XTET, among others. Sanders also teaches guitar at Pomona College.
